Dr. Mike Smith has spoken to the SWMN CEO program for the past 4 years and this year was able to be introduced by his daughter, Kiesli, a young professional in the program. Dr. Smith has practiced chiropractic medicine in Luverne for 18 years. He always knew he wanted to live in a small town but never thought he would own a business. Dr. Smith started in a partnership which helped him obtain start up financing. After 4 years, grateful for the mentorship and advice from his partner, he was able purchase the business and be a sole proprietor. Dr. Smith spoke about the importance of location for your business, making decisions, insurance, employees, community involvement, and staying relevant with technology. HIs advice to the young professionals is never turn down an opportunity to make connections and pursue job shadowing in your field of interest. Thank you for the great morning with SWMN CEO!
