Dr. Mike Smith has spoken to the SWMN CEO program for the past 4 years and this year was able to be introduced by his daughter, Kiesli, a young professional in the program. Dr. Smith has practiced chiropractic medicine in Luverne for 18 years. He always knew he wanted to live in a small town but never thought he would own a business. Dr. Smith started in a partnership which helped him obtain start up financing. After 4 years, grateful for the mentorship and advice from his partner, he was able purchase the business and be a sole proprietor. Dr. Smith spoke about the importance of location for your business, making decisions, insurance, employees, community involvement, and staying relevant with technology.
