Meet the Southwest Minnesota CEO Board Members
Tyler Bush - Treasurer
I am a seasoned banking professional with over 15 years of experience in the industry. My journey began at Wells Fargo in 2007, where I spent a decade honing my skills and understanding of the financial sector. In 2017, I transitioned to Security Savings Bank, further expanding my expertise. Since 2022, I have been a part of the First Interstate Bank team as a Wealth Advisor, contributing to their growth and success.
Born and raised in Hills, MN, I continue to call this place home. I share my life with my wonderful wife, Kala, and our three energetic children, Micah, Malachi, and Maybrie. Our family is a tight-knit unit, with sports being a significant part of our lives. As a sports enthusiast myself, I have had the pleasure of coaching basketball at HBC, and I take immense pride in my children’s active involvement in various sports activities.
Beyond my professional and family life, I am deeply committed to my community. I actively participate in numerous community organizations, believing in the power of collective effort and community. This involvement allows me to give back to the community that has given me so much.
In all aspects of my life, I strive for excellence and believe in the power of perseverance, dedication, and teamwork. Whether it’s navigating the complexities of the banking sector, coaching a basketball team, or organizing a community event, I am always ready to take on the challenge and make a positive impact.

Craig Oftedahl - Board Member
I am the superintendent of the Luverne Public Schools. I’m involved in several committees and on several boards in the Luverne community including: LIFT (Luverne Initiatives For Tomorrow), Luverne Community Economic Development Corporation, Luverne Loop (Bike Path), Luverne Consumer Council-Sanford, Rock County Opportunities, Governor’s Pheasant Opener, and the Southwest/West Central Cooperative’s Wide Area Network committee. The Luverne School District completed a $31 million dollar renovation and remodel project adding a new performing arts center, new kitchen and commons, and 6 new classrooms.
I don’t think I got into CEO, I think CEO got into me. The concept of the program was something I felt has been missing in our schools. If we want to have creative thinkers and problem solvers, we have to put students in position to be creative and to solve problems. I also believe that leadership is always needed in every community, field of work, and across the country. I feel that CEO will create leadership opportunities for our students.
