Investment ProfessionalBoard Member Committees: Media, Investor Recruitment & CareWhen Dan isn’t busy with clients and volunteer activities, if you listen carefully, you might just hear him playing his guitar and singing.
Dan is a Principal for the South Dakota Group Benefits division. He joined SilverStone Group in 2006 and specializes in working with employers who have complicated funding arrangements and large, multi-site locations. His communication skills and relationships with the carrier and vendor marketplace help his clients to achieve the most competitive pricing and highest levels of customer service.
Dan knows that the best solutions are often a result of collaboration — both within our Firm and with our clients. He believes SilverStone Group makes a difference for clients by delivering sound, independent advice and helping educate clients about changes and new developments in the industry. Dan quarterbacks a talented team, rich with industry expertise. In the process of showing clients where their true costs lie and helping them manage and negotiate both their fixed and projected expenses, this team creates a mutually valued partnership that helps clients learn things they’ve never known before.
Prior to joining SilverStone Group, Dan spent 12 years working in professional public relations, fundraising and consulting positions. His experience in donor cultivation and management are extremely beneficial to the development of new clients for all of SilverStone Group’s service areas.
Dan also serves on the Leadership Sioux Falls Executive Selection Team and the Orion Foods Challenge Steering Committee benefiting the Children’s Home Society, and he volunteers for the Bethlehem Lutheran Church of Hills in Minnesota. In addition, Dan is an elected board member of the Hills-Beaver Creek School District. Dan and his wife also founded rock ranch in 2016 find out more at www.riderockranch.com

Craig Oftedahl
SuperintendentBoard Member Committees: Event CoordinatorI am the superintendent of the Luverne Public Schools. I’m involved in several committees and on several boards in the Luverne community including: LIFT (Luverne Initiatives For Tomorrow), Luverne Community Economic Development Corporation, Luverne Loop (Bike Path), Luverne Consumer Council-Sanford, Rock County Opportunities, Governor’s Pheasant Opener, and the Southwest/West Central Cooperative’s Wide Area Network committee. The Luverne School District completed a $31 million dollar renovation and remodel project adding a new performing arts center, new kitchen and commons, and 6 new classrooms.
I don’t think I got into CEO, I think CEO got into me. The concept of the program was something I felt has been missing in our schools. If we want to have creative thinkers and problem solvers, we have to put students in position to be creative and to solve problems. I also believe that leadership is always needed in every community, field of work, and across the country. I feel that CEO will create leadership opportunities for our students.
