Barb Anderson has been in a partnership with her dad, Steve, at Cattnach Insurance since 2009 recently buying the business from him last summer. Barb attended SDSU, not quite sure about her major but when an advisor suggested she minor in Ag business she decided to heed his advice. That has paid off as her business deals in crop insurance as well as auto, home, health, and life. Cattnach Insurance employs 7 people including Josh Teune. Josh attended Rochester Community and Technical college then finished his business degree at Winona State University. Josh spoke to the young professionals about looking at different avenues to get a degree. Both Barb and Josh enjoy working with their clients and helping them get coverage or solve a problem. Barb spoke to the young professionals about the state of the insurance industry, assessing risk, term vs. whole life insurance, paying attention to details, and being part of a family business.
