Sean McFarland has been an entrepreneur since his youth. Growing up in Washington state, Sean would go into the mountains and capture lizards to sell. He was in college for horticulture when he realized the potential of selling zucchini and yellow squash at the farmer's market as well as to restaurants. From there he always wanted to farm and create which led him to his dream of Blackshire Farms and The Cidery in Beaver Creek. Right off of I-90, Sean wants to create a unique experience for his guest with the windows showing the cider room, tables and bars made from a tree off his farm, and an apple orchard and pumpkin patch you can see from the back deck. The Cidery also offers a large event center with a bride and groom room in the basement. Sean advised the young professionals to keep emotions out of business, continue to work toward your dreams and providing customers with an experience. Take a trip to Beaver Creek to visit The Cidery on Friday from 4-9:30, Saturday noon-9:30 and Sunday noon-5. Thanks Sean for the great morning with SWMN CEO.
