On Thursday, we were at Adrian City Hall, where Christine Bullerman talked to us about her role as a community health specialist at Sanford in Worthington. She taught us many good lessons, but my favorite was when she said that trust and relationship building, and communication with clients is so extremely important no matter where you work. She also said when being in a business or creating a business, you need to learn what the needs in your community are by communicating to your audience. She taught us a little bit about grants and how important knowing how to write one is. Another thing that I took away from her speech was when she said education is never lost, and if you switch your major in college, it is okay, and you can still put the other education to use. Lastly, she said “emerge yourself” and for some reason that really stuck with me.
