We ended the week at Adrian Auto with Ryan Eidhammer. His company started off as a partnership, but after his partner passed away, Ryan eventually bought the business from their daughter. As a high schooler, Ryan worked in the shop and farmed, in which he developed the liking for auto repair. At the shop, he takes in abandoned cars/trucks, does repairs, as well as towing. To my surprise, his towing portion of the company is busiest in the winter and the shop work is busiest in summer. Ryan’s biggest market is diesel repair, where he works on a lot of Fords and other similar trucks. The part that I found the most fascinating was that although there are 3 repair shops in Adrian, they all are able to come together and help each other out.
