Midwest Fire was a new business to Luverne in 1987. Sarah Atchison bought the company in 2013 and hired Darcie Johnson to take on a variety of positions. 12 years later Darcie serves at the CFO and Midwest Fire has 33 full time employees. Midwest Fire builds pumper trucks, quick attack pumpers, mini pumpers and brush trucks for fire departments throughout the United States. Being a smaller company allows Midwest Fire to give personal attention to each of their customers. Darcie spoke about the 9 departments within the company, the process from selling a truck, building a truck and delivering a truck. She spoke about the LEAN process the company completed to find inefficiencies in the process and continuing to learn and grow. Thank you to Darcie for starting her morning with SWMN CEO young professionals!
