We had the opportunity to learn about veterinary science from Nancy Oye, finance officer and Dr. Rachel Wilking a large animal veterinarian with Windy Ridge Veterinary clinic in Pipestone. Nancy spoke about the business side, working closely with Pipestone Livestock on health certificates, customer services, working with employees, having a nationally known IVF vet, Dr. Kroese in the clinic, and companion animal services offered at the clinic. Dr. Wilking spoke about her schooling, the risk of working with large animals, helping farmers, the process of IVF, growing up on a small farm, and the unusual situations you may come upon.
