A great way to start our day was with a visit to Edgerton Bakery!

For 50 years, Edgerton Bakery has built a reputation for creating delicious sweet treats while providing exceptional service to the community. Four and a half years ago, Carl and Stacy Nagel were presented with the opportunity to purchase the bakery. They made the decision to move to Edgerton and begin a new journey which has allowed them to continue a beloved local tradition.

During our visit, Carl shared how they worked with Southwest Initiative Foundation to procure their Square point-of-sale system, while continuing the high level of customer service and quality that customers have come to expect from the bakery. Building strong relationships with customers and the community remains an important part of their business.

Edgerton Bakery delivers to nine communities in the surrounding area and partners with local schools to provide delicious buns and bread for students. The bakery also serves as an Amazon Hub for the area, adding another valuable service for the community.

Carl also shared that, with the rising cost of goods, he is fortunate to be able to purchase many of the bakery's supplies from a local vendor, another great example of the importance of supporting local businesses and building strong community connections.

When asked what the bakery's most popular donut is, Carl didn't hesitate: "The twist!"

And when asked what advice he would offer young professionals, his answer was simple and meaningful: "Surround yourself with good people."
