Jeff and Missy Bass of Hills turned a life-changing event into a mission of hope and support for others.
After their son, Trenton, suffered devastating injuries to his C-5 and C-6 vertebrae during a high school football game, the Bass family’s lives were turned upside down. Throughout the difficult journey that followed, they leaned on the strength and support of their small-town community, which rallied around their family and helped them navigate the challenges ahead.
That experience inspired Jeff and Missy to create Game Plan 4 Hope, a nonprofit organization founded in December 2019. In 2021, they purchased a building to provide a permanent home for the organization and its mission.
Game Plan 4 Hope offers expertise, resources and, most importantly, hope to families facing life-changing events. The Basses believe that connecting with families as early as possible is one of the most effective ways they can help. The organization assists families in navigating insurance and legal issues, connecting them with valuable resources and providing support during an overwhelming and uncertain time.
As a nonprofit, Game Plan 4 Hope relies on financial donations to continue serving families in need.
This Sunday, Oct. 11, Game Plan 4 Hope will host its annual Harvest for Hope event at The Cidery in Beaver Creek. The event helps raise funds and awareness for the organization and the families it serves.
