SWMN CEO has been going strong for nine years, and this marks our ninth photo on the steps of Fey Industries! What a great tradition and an opportunity to celebrate a business that has been a cornerstone of the community since 1969.

The story of Fey Industries began when Mike Fey’s grandfather, who owned the local newspaper, saw an opportunity to purchase a heat-sealing business. He purchased the company to produce sleeves for inserting customer invoices. From that simple beginning, the business has grown into an industry leader. One of the founding goals was to provide meaningful employment for people in the community while allowing them to be home in time for supper—a value that continues to be part of the company's culture today.

Since purchasing the business from his father, Mike has expanded Fey Industries through the acquisition of eight similar businesses, with the most recent acquisition taking place just last week! Some of these businesses continue to operate independently, while others have been relocated to Edgerton.

Fey Industries has become a leader in the branded merchandise industry, providing products throughout the United States. One of its larger customers is 4imprint. The company specializes in RF heat sealing, thermoforming, injection molding, and ten different forms of product decoration.

Mike and his wife, Cheryl, have worked hard to build a strong team culture where employees feel valued, appreciated, and connected. They make a point of celebrating work anniversaries in unique and personal ways, recognizing each employee as an important part of the team. Creating an environment where everyone has the opportunity to thrive is a priority for both of them.

Mike and Cheryl are also working toward establishing a foundation called Brightening the World, with the goal of continuing to share their blessings and make a positive difference in the lives of others.

Thank you, Mike for welcoming us to Fey Industries, sharing your story, and demonstrating what it means to invest in your community. A special thank-you for supporting the SWMN CEO program as a financial sponsor. Your commitment to business, people, and community is inspiring!
