Tammie Leuthold is an entrepreneur who opened her business, Barn on 60th, five and a half years ago. After high school, Tammie initially pursued cosmetology school before changing paths to attend a four-year college, where she met her husband. She later chose to stay home to raise her children. When she became an empty nester, Tammie returned to her passion for cosmetology and enrolled at Stewart School in Sioux Falls.

With the opportunity to build her business on land close to home, Tammie turned her passion into a successful business. Today, Barn on 60th serves clients from multiple surrounding communities and offers a variety of salon services and products.

During her visit, Tammie shared valuable insights into business ownership, including licensing requirements, building a clientele, point-of-sale and rewards systems, marketing, state inspections, and the responsibilities of being the boss.
